Surprisingly good December 16, 2008 It's free so I wasn't expecting all that much. At least two of these, Rattlin' Bones and Gone, are going to be on the "favorites" playlist on the ol' iPod. All these songs are worth listening to even though I've never hears of the artists.
I'm afraid I've gotten used to the sub-standard free offering from iTunes. To have these songs without having to pay for them, plus finding some new talent, is great.
Well worth downloading.
Like it a lot, because its free I love it! December 10, 2008 I saw this and couldn't believe a free album had some artist I really like. Def worth checking out!
Can't preview or download all of the tracks.... November 23, 2008 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
The two tracks I could download sounded great. I've been downloading free music from Amazon for a while, it's really nice usually, unfortunately downloading the Vanguard/Sugar Hill sampler is driving me nuts. I can download and preview tracks 1 and 5, but I can't preview or download tracks 2, 3, 4. Contacted customer service, they say there's no problem, tried to directly download them from my Amazon library, still no good. I'm sure the other tracks are great, but I give up.
Despite ambiguity on pricing, a great selection November 20, 2008 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
Have no worries about downloading this sampler. Despite the listing that individual songs are for sale for $.99, the sampler is free. Just purchased it and got charged $0.00 in my account. So, download with ease and enjoy some good quality indie music.
Free Sampler? November 20, 2008 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Apparently this sampler is not free. I rec'd the email yesterday, 11/18, that this sampler was free. I tried to download tonight, 11/19, and can't do so unless I pay $.99 per song. Please! Why would I pay for something I can't hear in advance? Waste of time. jamowa
